Lighting design for hospital
Client – Rumourhasit interiors
This time a lighting design for a hospital – large foyer space with high volume – the specs were 3,5m diameter and 6m height
We looked into the layout and space – large overhead skylights which would work well with plexiglass colours and luminosity
We then looked into symbology – Wildetect 2 of 3 – looked into symbol of life – breaking the design up and re-patterning it step it across different heights with lasercut profiles. Thus providing depth in the composition. Another design idea was to create the tree of life – with leaf profiles spanning across the wooden trunk.
Wildetect 1 of 3 looked at the unfolding of a nautilus shell was the inspiration behind the creation of the chandelier by Wildetect 1 of 3 with the idea of lights situated at each of the 3 voids created by the unfolding of the shell.
